Kaia Aitchison

My art explores the territory that my writing cannot. My paintings range in size and mood, from bright little still lifes to more detailed or symbolic pieces. My visual depictions attempt to convey motion, vibrancy and brief impressions, While my writing is an exercise in wordplay, story and more exacting ideas that imagery cannot quite capture. Of my published works of fiction there exists The Other World trilogy which will soon be available as a three book set, the concluding volume being underway. Then there is Fishsuit, a six-page semi-satiric jaunt through the life of a cyborg fish. I balance my efforts between speculative fiction and visual art and I am still seeing where this takes me.
