I have been painting for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a creative household, art has felt like a natural part of my life. My work has been exhibited at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center and will soon be shown at the Yeiser Museum in Paducah.
I observe the natural world closely. The local flora and fauna are a central point around which much of my art revolves. Along with natural observation, and light and shadow play, I weave in the surreality of a dream or at least I strive to do so. Still life and plein air are also among my favorite subjects.
I believe that art is a window into human experience and so each painting captures a different mood, be it a geographical study or a close crop of a vulture’s face.
